Policies & Procedures

Welcome! And thank you for allowing us into your beautiful home.

I have written this contract to ensure there is both consistency, and accuracy with our cleans, and an understanding of what the expectations are from both parties.

 

As a company, I truly believe in the little things, the details and the importance of getting all of that done in a timely manner. We work hard to ensure you will be pleased with the results, but we do go above and beyond your average clean, and sometimes it can take a little longer on certain days.

 

My employees, and myself, all have clean criminal records, and are covered under WCB, and liability insured!

 

Cost: Our rate is $45/hour/person (plus GST) for regular/random cleans,

and $55/hour/person (plus GST) for move in/out cleans. There is a 2 hour minimum for both regular, and move out/in cleans.

There will be upcharges for driving more than half an hour out of town, or for hoarding situations, and heavily smoked in homes (Nicotine Removals). These upcharges are situational, and will be discussed with the home owner prior to the clean.

 

Supplies: We supply everything we will need to get the job done. However, if you would prefer us to use some of your supplies and/or vacuum, please let us know, as it shouldn’t be an issue.

Please note that due to our liability insurance, we cannot use “homemade” cleaning products. They must be store bought.

 

 

DO NOT Clean list: We do have a short list of things we do not clean which include;

-Blinds

-Cat litter

-Cast iron pans

-Outsides of windows

-TV screens

-Animal feces, or urine

-Biohazards (blood, needles, etc.)

 

Zero Tolerance Policy: I do have a zero-tolerance policy for disrespecting or mistreating my employees, or myself in any way. Should an employee feel uncomfortable or mistreated, they have been told to leave the home immediately. You may call me to discuss further. However, you will be charged for the time they spent cleaning, and dropped from the schedule.

 

Cancellations: I understand that people have lives, and things happen. However, under normal circumstances, I have a 48-hour cancellation policy. We are extremely busy, and if you cancel last minute, that leaves myself, and employees without work, when that spot could had been filled. Please let me know sooner than later if you need to cancel for any reason. If you cancel within the 48-hour cancellation window, you will be charged a fee of $50 that must be paid prior to your next visit.

 

Payments: Payment can be made via cash, cheque or e-transfer. E-transfers can be sent to the following email: cleaning@maidforthis.services

Cheques can be made out to Khyara Hiles or Maid For This.

Late payments will have an additional fee of 10% added onto your bill. This will begin on the 4th day after the clean was done. This means you will have 3 days to pay your bill before your late fee, and credit card is charged.

 

I’m not happy: Should you not be satisfied with your services, please reach out to me, Khyara Hiles. Things do happen, and things can get missed. Please do not discuss payment or logistics with my employees. I take full responsibility for anything they break, miss, or cannot get done during their time in your home.

I will do my best to rectify those things, and you can contact me any time via email, texting or calling.

Initial Cleans: Initial cleans will take longer than normal. I usually schedule 4-8 hours to start, however, if you have a big home, please note that everything may not get done! Things you would like done will be documented and relayed to your cleaner prior to their visit. They will do their best to get everything on your wish list done, however if things don’t get completed, they will be done for you the next visit or on a special visit in between if we have time.

 

Holidays/Stats: We are closed on Statutory holidays, and for a week around Christmas time to give my girls a break! Should your clean fall on a Stat, I will do my very best to reschedule, but please note that this may not always be possible due to our schedules being extremely full.

 

Credit Cards: Your credit card must be on file if you are a regular client of ours. This is a new policy that I unfortunately just had to implement, due to many outstanding invoices stretching months of not being paid. The credit card information collected is in accordance with British Columbia’s privacy laws. This information will not be shared with anyone, including any member of my staff. It is simply a backup payment method that will only be used if you have not paid your invoice via cash, cheque, or e-transfer within 3 days of your clean. The 4th day, you will be charged interest (10% of your invoice price), and charged to your credit card.

 

Photos & Videos: By allowing us into your homes, you agree to allow us to take pictures & videos for marketing purposes. These photos/videos will never show family pictures or any identifying features that will prove it is your home, nor will we ever use names of our clients in our marketing. Please note they will be posted on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
